Bafta Presents: Animation Masterclass - Producing Peppa
Venue: Exeter Phoenix
Date: 17th February, 2pm–3.30pm
Join BAFTA and Animated Exeter for a very special masterclass with BAFTA-winning animation producer Phil Davies, taking you behind the scenes at Peppa Pig, the phenomenally successful BAFTA-winning series (Best Pre-School Animation 2005 and 2011) from creative team Astley Baker Davies.
Phil Davies joined Mark Baker and Neville Astley, creators of the children’s series, The Big Knights and Mark Baker’s Jolly Roger, The Hill Farm and The Village, in 2001. Previously a producer as part of Channel 4’s ‘Animator In Residence’ (AIR) scheme, Phil joined Mark and Neville when Channel 4 closed its animation department.
Phil will be in conversation with Animation Consultant and Producer, Helen Brunsdon about the creation of Peppa Pig and Astley Baker Davies latest children’s series, the delightful Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.
The masterclass will include a screening of a previously unseen episode of Peppa Pig.
This is a family-friendly event and will be suitable for children 8 years and up.
This event forms part of BAFTA’s UK-wide learning and events programme, giving audiences across the country access behind the screens of the film, TV and video games industries. For more information visit www.bafta.org
