Animated Exeter March e-bulletin

ALL CHANGE AT ANIMATED EXETER
This month sees the departure of two team members. Lesley-Ann Eaton joined the festival for six months, working as Education Co-ordinator. Her achievements while she was with us include co-ordinating school’s week at the festival, increasing our network of schools and youth groups across the South West and developing the Youth Futures concept, taking it in new directions.
Rosie Jones, who joined the festival in 2008, will also be moving on. Rosie helped to launch a new festival website, recruiting, training and managing volunteers, and promoting the festival in the local media and within local businesses. She also supported Animated Exeter through the transition from an Exeter Council initiative to an independent company.
They will both be sorely missed and we wish them both the best of luck in their professional and personal endeavours.

YOUNG+ANIMATED - NEW SERIES OF WORKSHOPS - Easter break ideas session
Young+Animated is a group of young people between 8 and 18 who are really interested in animation. They meet from time to time to work on short projects, In 2009, the team created the Animated Exeter Festival Trailer – you can't have missed it, the fabulous Animated Exeter Moonwalk, screened at the festival around 20 times!
The plan for 2010/2011 is to run a series of workshops for young people to learn practical animation skills.
An ideas session is planned for the Easter holidays, not to be missed! The existing team and any new potential members should contact us to confirm the best date for a half-day session: either Tuesday 6th April or Monday 12th April.
Animated Exeter is also supporting the Exeter Phoenix's great new Saturday Animation Club for 8-12's, see below. We are working on combining ideas for workshops later in the year.
If you would like to join Young+Animated we want to hear from you too
