DEADLINE 29th NOVEMBER 2002

Animated Exeter is seeking entries in two categories

• Animation Students and recent graduates (who graduated in 2002 in the UK)

Animated Films completed in 2002 by graduates and students currently studying animation in the UK are eligible under this category.

• Young Animators

Animated Films originating from children’s and young people’s animation workshops/schools or from individuals in the UK are eligible under this category

STUDENTS & GRADUATES

We will accept entries from students and 2002 graduates from any colleges/universities in the UK.

We will be selecting films on the basis of content, regardless of format but can accept viewing copies on VHS or CD only. Films can be up to 10 minutes in length.

The selection panel will be made up from members of Animated Exeter’s screening group and other animators based in the South West of England, but the prize-winners will be selected by an independent group of animation professionals to be announced shortly

YOUNG ANIMATORS

We will accept entries from all children’s and young people’s workshops in the UK; from individuals and from schools provided they are under 10 minutes long. There are two age groups: Under 12 and Under 16. There are no prizes for this category.

General Information

All films submitted will be considered for screening, provided they are submitted on either VHS or CD and are up to 10 minutes in length.

Please send a VHS copy, or a CD along with the attached entry form.

Please ensure that this is a copy of your work, not the original. Animated Exeter cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred to your tape in transit.

You are advised to send a stamped, addressed envelope if you want your tape returned.

If you have not heard by January 1st 2003 please assume your work has not been successful this time. Only successful entries will be notified.

Successful entrants are requested to send in any production stills with their film a copy of the work in the screening format.

The festival undertakes to return the print/video/CD within 2 weeks of the end of the festival, provided a stamped , addressed envelope is provided
