2014 Film Submissions

Our 15th Edition will take online entries through FESThome.

This year we are proud to announce two new international strands for film entries. All films must be 8 mins or less.Closing date: 1 November 2013

The categories are:

Wide World: Films made for children, English subtitles please. Open to International animators (over 18)

The Indies: Non-commercial animation, English subtitles please. Open to International animators (over 18)

The Graduate: Open to 2013 graduates from UK animation courses

Best of the West: Open to non-professional animators from the South West of England. The South West region is listed on the Arts Council website. Categories are 16 – 18s, 18 – 25s and 25+. This category is not open to graduates or professional animators.

The Young Ones: Open to children and young people’s animation workshops; school groups or individuals under the age of 18 at the time of submission, from the UK - Closing date:7 December 2013

AWARDS:

Wide World - Jury Award for Best Children’s Film /Audience Award for Best Children's Film / Young+Animated Award for Best Children’s Film (judged by under 16s)

The Indies - Jury Award for Independent Talent / Audience Award for Independent Talent

The Graduate - Industry Award for New Talent, categories are Technical / Animation Direction. Audience Award for overall winner, Best Graduate 2013.

Best of the West - Jury Award for Best Regional Animation in three categories: 16 - 18s / 18 -25s / 25+

The Young Ones - Jury Award for Best Young Animator, for Schools or Groups or Individuals age 7-11 or 12- 18 / Young+Animated Award: Best Young Animator(s) (judged by under 16s)

Entry is free.Closing date: 1st November 2013 (except for The Young Ones - 7th Dec 2013)
