LIGHTSTREAM SATURDAY 15

Venue: Fore Street
Dates:

15th February, 7pm–9pm

BAFTA award-winning artist and filmmaker Tal Rosner, will lead a spectacular variety of projections and illuminations on Exeter's Fore Street. This ancient, medieval entrance to Exeter rises from the River Exe and leads to the city’s centre. Rosner has been working with students from a new network of South West Animation courses to create a series of stunning projections. Some large, some small, some obvious, some hidden away in dark corners.

With a unique style of digital craftsmanship, Tal Rosner stands out at the forefront of international moving image practice, both on screen and on stage.LIGHTSTREAM is his first project in the UK for some time.

His piece for LIGHTSTREAM titled Duet (after McLaren) was commissioned by Animated Exeter, supported by Arts Council England. We are indebted to the Ballet Boyz, choreographer Cameron MacMillan, and Joby Talbot for the use of his music Quartet #2

The Fore Street Collective are involved, so the shops and cafes will form part of these two evenings of dazzling display. Everyone is welcome to come and see this unique, independent quarter of Exeter in a completely new light.

Drop in for a few minutes or stay a while and marvel at these incredible collaborative illuminations.
